Great location, awful apartment

I lived here 2009-10, the first year the apartments were open, and there were 2 running jokes with all the tenants. The first: the sorority-mother-esque landlord who leaves notes on our doors about apartment community events (upside= free beer) and reminding us to take out trash. The second, how we were paying almost $800/month for paper-thin walls (you can hear everything in the parking lot from inside... all night), hallways that look like they're from a psychward (stark white, florescent lights, anything but inviting), and an IMPOSSIBLE parking situation! My friend WHO LIVED THERE had her car towed, as did many of my friends who were simply visiting and drove over.

All in all, the location is awesome (you can't get closer to campus while living off-campus) and they come furnished (which is a plus only if this is your first place off campus), but that didn't outweigh all the negatives. You can do better.
