Happy Chappy

bobbyd122 - 10/20/2012 - 11:39 am

Chappy is a great place to live. They have the market right at the bottom of the hall, plus they are very close to both the gym/pool and campus! Not only does it have a great view of the surrounding valley, but it is far enough away from campus to where it's a bit more quiet around the hall.

Chappy Made Me Happy

Chelsea Lusby » - 10/15/2012 - 07:32 am

Lame title, I know...but living in Chappy for Freshman and Sophomore year was an absolute blast. It's the closest dorm to the ARC, Aquaplex, and baseball field, and it has an amazing view (especially from the 11th floor). The market attached to Chappy is stocked pretty well for how small it is, and the grill options are pretty tasty. For the most part, the RA's were friendly and pretty cool, but if you're caught being naughty, then yeah they'll bust you and write you up. I thought the rooms were a good size, and I didn't feel too cramped, even with a roommate. There's a reason why I chose to live in Chappy for a second year, and after getting the chance to see the other dorms and how they compare, I'm sure I would make the same decision again if I had to.

If you're concerned about those freshman 15...

Live here; because it's at least a 15 minute walk to get anywhere on campus.

As for the rooms, yes, they're small. Think of it as a European living experience, just a little closer to home...and without all the foreign hotties. Not sure they do this anymore, but at one time they were cramming four people into a single room! Yea, bunk-bed style. Really liberating...catch the sarcasm?

But on the all, if you're one of the lucky ones with only a single roommate, it's cozy, as clean as it can be (with college kids living there), and has a nice little snack mart on the ground floor.

It's close to the ARC, a stone's throw away from the Aquaplex, has pretty decent parking and compared to the other dorms, is brand spankin' new. Just don't get caught with contraband, because the RA's are...well, you'll figure it out.

Get it.
